DMCA & Copyright Policy
We are a reseller, not a host. We respond to every properly-formed copyright notice, and this page sets out exactly what one needs to contain.
Last updated: January 1, 2026
OTTTV respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and rights holders. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the equivalent copyright legislation applicable in Canada. This policy explains our procedure for handling copyright infringement claims.
1. Our content licensing position
OTTTV operates as a lawful reseller of IPTV subscription services and does not host, store or originate the content delivered through the Service. All channels and video-on-demand content are sourced from licensed content providers and distributors. Our position on this is stated plainly on our about page as well, and we are committed to ensuring our operations respect applicable copyright law.
2. Reporting copyright infringement (takedown notice)
If you are a copyright owner or an authorised agent and believe that content accessible through https://otttv.ca infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent.
Your notice must include all of the following
- Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the work you claim has been infringed. A representative list is acceptable where multiple works are covered.
- Identification of the infringing material — the specific URL(s) or enough information to locate the allegedly infringing content.
- Your contact information — full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- Good faith statement — a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- Accuracy statement — a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.

Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice — otttv.ca
We acknowledge valid notices within 5 business days and take appropriate action, which may include disabling access to the material in question and notifying the relevant upstream content provider.
3. Counter-notification
If you believe content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to [email protected].
Your counter-notice must include
- Identification of the removed content — a description, the URL(s) and its location before removal.
- Statement under penalty of perjury — that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information — full name, address, telephone number and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction — that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Canada and will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.
On receipt of a valid counter-notification we forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore access at our discretion.
4. Repeat infringer policy
OTTTV maintains a strict policy regarding repeat infringers. In accordance with the DMCA and applicable law in Canada:
- Accounts subject to multiple valid copyright infringement notices are reviewed.
- OTTTV reserves the right to terminate subscriptions of users determined to be repeat infringers.
- Termination for repeat infringement does not entitle the user to a refund. See our terms of service.
5. Misuse of the DMCA process
Filing a false takedown notice is a serious legal matter. Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)) and equivalent laws, any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
